Glenn Wang entered Tsinghua University in 1980, the first student to do so in the history of Ordos of Inner Mongolia, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
Giving up the opportunity for postgraduate study in China, Glenn determined to go abroad. With only 50 Canadian Dollars in his pocket, two suitcases in his hands, and a dream in his heart, Glenn landed in Canada in 1989.
He obtained his Master’s degree in Science in 1993 from the University of Saskatchewan in mechanical engineering.
Shine Stone International Ltd. (SSIL) was created by Glenn Wang in 1994, and Glenn was running SSIL in his spare time, completely isolated from his full-time jobs. By 2003, SSIL grew by folds year over year and has become a group of companies.
In 2015, Glenn started ECPL Group Corporation, providing international e-commerce logistics with subsidiaries in China and the USA.
Over the past three years, ECPL grew from two processing centers to six (four in China and two in the USA), with an estimated annual revenue of $200 million in the next three years.
Glenn is a Professional Engineer of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-Scientists of Alberta and a Senior Engineer of the American Manufacturing Engineers Society.
